Zack Snyder's Justice League Official Trailer Shows How Darkseid Destroys the World

The Zack Snyder's Justice League official trailer is finally here and it features a jaw-dropping glimpse at what to look forward to this March. Not surprisingly, there's amazing new footage and even a brief look at how Darkseid will destroy the world.

The trailer opens with Lex Luthor saying, "The bell's been rung." We then see what appears to be Gotham City in flames and eventually being covered in darkness. In a different scene, the Amazons look on as a structure in Themyscira falls from a cliff.

We then see Batman in the Knightmare setting as he admits he had a dream that was almost like a premonition of an attack coming. That's when we see Darkseid flanked by DeSaad and Granny Goodness as Steppenwolf kneels to him with a promise: "This world will fall."

There's plenty of new footage like Steppenwolf taking on the Amazons and Barry Allen saving Iris West from a car accident. We also see more of Superman in his new black suit and yes, even a glimpse at Jared Leto's Joker at the final moment.

The official Snyder Cut trailer certainly confirms that this is a completely different movie from what we saw in the Justice League theatrical cut. Needless to say, we're looking forward to seeing the superheroes take on Darkseid next month.

The synopsis for Zack Snyder's Justice League reads as follows:

"In Zack Snyder's Justice League, determined to ensure Superman's (Henry Cavill) ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) aligns forces with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions.
"The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes.
"Now united, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad, and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions."

Zack Snyder's Justice League will premiere on HBO Max on March 18.
