Zack Snyder Teases Army of the Dead 2 Update

Army of the Dead is finally out and people have so many questions about the film. Perhaps the most important one that needs an immediate answer is about the zombie heist flick getting a sequel. Interestingly, Zack Snyder may have confirmed that he will work on Army of the Dead 2 once Netflix makes an official announcement.

In Army of the Dead, almost every character ended up dead but the film still concluded on a promising note. Vanderohe is revealed to have survived the nuclear blast on Las Vegas only to discover that he had been bitten as he is on a plane to Mexico City.

So can we expect Army of the Dead 2 to be set in Mexico City? Snyder told Polygon that he and co-writer Shay Hatten already have plans for the sequel.

"Shay and I know exactly what happens next and it's insane. I'd make it in a second," Snyder said. He then stated that their ideas for the sequel have already been set.

"What we have planned is too crazy. Once we knew Vanderohe was a bit, and he's going to Mexico City, I was like, ‘You know what's gonna happen?' And then I just went on a tear. And by the time it ended, Shay was like, ‘OK,'" Snyder said.

We're loving the idea that Snyder and Hatten are already prepared to work on the sequel. It will only be a matter of time before Netflix makes an official announcement about Army of the Dead 2. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
