Tom Hardy Shares Plans for Venom 3

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is still over a month away from its theatrical release but it looks like Tom Hardy is already looking forward to the future. The Revenant star has just shared hopeful plans for Venom 3 that will continue with Eddie Brock's unusual adventures with the Symbiote.

Back in 2018, Venom was a huge hit that had people hoping for a sequel. Needless to say, everyone was thrilled when it was confirmed that Venom 2 will finally show us more of Cletus Kasady and the Symbiote known as Carnage.

But can we look forward to more of Eddie and Venom in the future? Hardy recently spoke to Esquire where he confirmed that he is already hoping for Venom 3.

"I'm thinking about the third movie as well, because I think you need to write that at the same time," Hardy said. He then explained that they need to wait for Let There Be Carnage to be released before developing Venom 3.

"A third won't be greenlit until the second is successful, but the studio [was] really, really pleased with Number Two," Hardy said.

That certainly makes sense as Sony would be understandably wary of how Let There Be Carnage will be received. Although there is little doubt that the sequel will be an awesome action-packed ride, studios are still concerned about ticket sales in the post-pandemic era.

For now, we can only hope for a third Venom movie. After all, we're still not sure if anybody will survive after Eddie promised to let Venom eat everybody in exchange for going up against Carnage, as seen in the latest trailer. Nevertheless, there is a huge chance that we won't see the last of Eddie and Venom in the upcoming sequel.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is directed by Andy Serkis and also stars Woody Harrelson, Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, Reid Scott, and Stephen Graham. The film is scheduled for release on September 24, 2021.
