There is little doubt that the new trailer for Titans Season 2 had people excited about the DC Universe series considering that it offered fleeting glimpses at new characters. However, there was one thing that the teaser was being very secretive about: Dick Grayson's new suit. Could this possibly mean that Dick will finally take on his Nightwing persona in the upcoming season?
The Titans Season 2 trailer gave us our first looks at new characters like Jericho, Superboy, Aqualad, and Ravager. In addition to that, it teased some new costumes for Starfire and Raven. This certainly seems like a glimpse at what "Titans 2.0" or "Titans: Next Generation" will look like. Unfortunately, it looks like Dick is still wearing his old Robin suit in the teaser.
Although this could simply mean that Robin isn't getting any major upgrades, it also led to speculations that Dick's new suit was left out of the trailer. As Screenrant points out, most of the footage showing Dick in costume appears to be taken from the past. It is also noted that Robin is only seen with his companions from the first season.
So what are the chances that Dick will finally become Nightwing in Titans Season 2? At this point, it's still pretty slim? However, fans believe that there could be a major plot twist in the season where Nightwing could finally be revealed.
It is important to point out that Nightwing's appearance in the second season has not yet been confirmed. With that in mind, it's best to take this with a grain of salt.
Titans Season 2 will premiere on DC Universe on September 6.
