I don't know about you guys but I think fight scenes are a lot better when lightsabers are involved. After all, there's a reason why Obi-Wan Kenobi once called them "a weapon from a more civilized time." So even the gladiator fight between Thor and the Hulk in Thor: Ragnarok gets elevated to a whole new level.
The idea was reportedly suggested to the YouTube channel ImmersionVFX who has come up with some truly amazing edits in the past. However, their latest video puts the focus on the Odinson and the Big Green Guy being forced to duke it out in the Marvel Cinematic Universe flick.
In the videos, Thor and the Hulk's weapons were edited to become lightsabers. While the Odinson wields a blue lightsaber, the Hulk gets matching green weapons.
First of all, the fight in itself is already absolutely fun. However, it gets even better when you add the lightsabers. The video even makes sure that the sound and lights are perfect in every second. It's almost like Thor and Hulk were supposed to be fighting with lightsabers in the first place.
Overall, it's a great edit that was masterfully made. We're certainly looking forward to what the guys at ImmersionVFX will do next.
