It seems like almost every Marvel Cinematic Universe flick in the future is getting delayed due to the Coronavirus outbreak. However, the studio still has some good news for fans. Thor: Love and Thunder is actually getting an earlier release date in 2022.

The confirmation comes from Deadline, which reports that the fourth Thor film is moving up a week ahead of its original release date on February 18, 2022. Instead, the MCU movie will hit theaters on February 11, 2022, which means fans can watch it over the pre-Valentines weekend.

Although we're getting Thor 4 a little earlier than expected, there are two more MCU films that will have later release dates. It was previously reported that the still-untitled Spider-Man 3 will be moved to November 5, 2021 although it was originally scheduled for July 16, 2021. This means that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which initially occupied that date, will be moved back to March 25, 2022.

It's interesting to note that Doctor Strange 2 will premiere just over a month after Love and Thunder. In this case, it sounds like 2022 will be a huge year for the MCU.

Thor: Love and Thunder will once again be directed by Taika Waititi and will bring back Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, and Tessa Thompson. It is still unclear if Tom Hiddleston will reprise his role as Loki in the sequel. It is currently scheduled for release on February 11, 2022.
