The Witcher Showrunner Teases Plans for Cahir and Fringilla in Season 2

The premise of The Witcher Season 2 might still be a mystery but we can always count on Lauren Schmidt Hissrich to offer some hints at what we could look forward to in the wildly successful fantasy series. The showrunner has just teased on her plans for Cahir and Fringilla in the second season of the Netflix show and it looks like we'll get to see more of these villains in the future.

Hissrich recently took part in a Quarantine Watch Party of the first season of The Witcher and she dropped some clues on what she has planned for the next season. Take a look at her tweet below.

"I can't wait to dig deeper into Cahir and Fringilla in S2... who they are, why Nilfgaard is important to them, and where they'll go from here.... it's one of my favorite parts of the new season," Hissrich wrote.

This is welcome news for fans who are already anticipating more of the villains. After all, Cahir and Fringilla only started working together later in the first season and their powerful alliance was glimpsed briefly in the final episode. We're already expecting to see more of these characters in the future and it's comforting to know that they're set for more scenes in the second season.

The Witcher Season 2 was already in production but needed to be shut down due to the Coronavirus outbreak. For now, it is unclear when the series will resume filming. Nevertheless, we're hoping to get some positive updates soon.

The Witcher Season 2 has not yet been given an official release date but is expected to return on Netflix by 2021.
