The Witcher Showrunner Answers All Your Questions About The SDCC Trailer

If you've seen the first trailer for The Witcher, you probably have a few questions about the upcoming Netflix series. Luckily, Lauren S. Hissrich is ready to tell you everything you need to know about the highly anticipated show.

Hissrich recently took a break after the Witcher panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 to hold an AMA on Twitter. The showrunner readily answered several questions about the series and even shared some interesting details about Henry Cavill.

One fan asked if the series will retain Geralt of Rivia's sense of humor given that the trailer seemed very gritty and dark. Hissrich assured the fan that "his dry wit is definitely all over the show. Also, Henry is the best grunter I know. His grunts will be everything."

Hissrich also confirmed that the first season of The Witcher will explore Yennefer's history.

"We're definitely diving into Yennefer's past, for one reason: I wanted to know who she was — the complicated and messy and vulnerable and scared girl — before she became the powerful and stunning Yennefer we now know and love," she wrote.

If you were wondering why Dandelion is nowhere to be found in the trailer, Hissrich wants you to know that "Jaskier and his gorgeous voice box are very present in the show." In addition to that, she teased that the premiere date "is coming soon."

The Witcher also stars Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan, Jodhi May, and Adam Levy. The series is expected to premiere on Netflix in November.
