The Witcher Season 2 Filming Halted as Crew Members Test Positive for COVID-19

It looks like the second season of The Witcher has encountered yet another side quest. Production on Season 2 has been put on hold as some crew members have tested positive for COVID-19.

According to Redanian Intelligence, filming on The Witcher Season 2 was immediately put on hold when four members of the production crew tested positive for COVID-19. It was also confirmed that the infected crew members have been isolated. This is truly important considering that everyone would be filming in the studio at the time.

The delay is truly disappointing but it was also stated that production will not resume until the producers are certain that it is safe to start filming again. Unfortunately, this could mean that the second season of the series might not be ready in time for a release next year.

But what about the cast of the series? For now, Henry Cavill has not posted any updates on the situation but there is little doubt that the star of the show is being kept away from the crew, at least for now. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

The Witcher Season 2 was initially set to begin production in early 2020 but filming was put on hold due to COVID-19. The cast and crew would reunite in the third quarter of the year with hopes to finish shooting as soon as possible. Unfortunately, this has once again been halted.
