The final trailer for The Witcher is here and it's all about the epic battle against Nilfgaard and their quest to capture Princess Ciri of Cintra.
The trailer opens with Ciri being introduced as the Lion Cub of Cintra and it isn't long before we realize that her title isn't the only thing that is putting the princess in danger. A man asks Geralt of Rivia why he thinks Ciri is not safe and he reveals that he saw an army advancing, "a sea of black and gold." It's pretty obvious that the White Wolf has witnessed Nilfgaard coming for Ciri.
Yennefer of Vengerberg doesn't mince words when she predicts what will happen. "Nilfgaard will destroy everything," she declares. While Nilfgaard attacks, Ciri is sent away so she can escape. Still, she needs help from the only man who can protect her. "I have to find Geralt of Rivia," she confesses.
It's an action-packed trailer that teases on the journey that Ciri must take but also at the conflicts between the people around her. Geralt himself fights monsters and men alike, and even Yen joins the action. But can Ciri find Geralt before the Nilfgaardians find her?
The premise of The Witcher reads as follows:
"The Witcher follows the story of Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, who struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together."
The Witcher will premiere on Netflix on December 20.
