The Walking Dead Season 10 Finale Could Kill Off Another Major Character

There is little doubt that not everyone will get out of The Walking Dead Season 10 finale in one piece. But could it really mean the end is coming for one major character? A cryptic comment from the AMC show's producer may have confirmed that it's time to say goodbye to someone who has been in the series for several years.

The first trailer for the final episode of The Walking Dead Season 10 already teased on several possible deaths. After all, Daryl said, "We're not all gonna make it through, but this is the only way." He might be talking about the ones who are going to attack the walker horde but it could also refer to the ones who are hiding in the tower. At one point, Gabriel is shown preparing to fight as someone tries to break past their barricaded door.

So is it possible that Gabriel will die trying to protect Judith and RJ, the children under his care? Producer Scott Gimple revealed during the virtual Comic-Con panel that Rick Grimes' daughter will be the one protecting RJ in A Certain Doom.

"Judith is taking care of herself fine, even taking care of RJ. Anybody who gets in that [guardian] position with Judith winds up going," Gimple said. "I'm just saying, I'm not as worried about RJ and Judith as the person taking care of them."

Whoah, that's not very subtle at all, especially not for comic book fans. In the comics, Gabriel ends up panicking and gets killed by the Whisperers in the tower. Although it's possible that the series will not follow this particular storyline, there's also a huge chance that it might be time to say goodbye to the former priest.

The Walking Dead Season 10 finale will air on AMC on October 4.
