The Tomorrow War First Look Features Chris Pratt Ready to Save The World


He's faced dinosaurs before but now Chris Pratt is going up against something truly terrifying: an alien species that is determined to wipe out all humanity. The first photos from the Amazon Prime film The Tomorrow War have just been dropped and it's a scary look into the future.

The new images were shared by the official The Tomorrow War Twitter account. The pictures feature Pratt, Yvonne Strahovski, and more as they race against time to save the world. Check it out below.

The photos are just the first of many exciting updates about the film. It was also confirmed that the first trailer will be dropped on Wednesday, April 28.

The Tomorrow War is directed by Chris McKay and follows a father who is recruited to fight in a war taking place in the future where humanity is facing off against an alien race.

The synopsis for The Tomorrow War reads as follows:

"In The Tomorrow War, the world is stunned when a group of time travelers arrive from the year 2051 to deliver an urgent message: Thirty years in the future mankind is losing a global war against a deadly alien species. The only hope for survival is for soldiers and civilians from the present to be transported to the future and join the fight.
"Among those recruited is high school teacher and family man Dan Forester (Chris Pratt). Determined to save the world for his young daughter, Dan teams up with a brilliant scientist (Yvonne Strahovski) and his estranged father (J.K. Simmons) in a desperate quest to rewrite the fate of the planet."

The Tomorrow War was initially set for theatrical release but this has been canceled due to COVID-19. The film is now scheduled to premiere on Amazon Prime on July 2, 2021.
