It has been a while since we heard anything about The New Mutants but that doesn't mean that we should completely forget about the X-Men spin-off film. Director Josh Boone still has a new trailer to release and he has already shown it to the right people.

The news actually comes from New Mutants comic book artist Bill Sienkiewicz, who was recently a guest on the Fatman Beyondpodcast. According to Sienkiewicz, Boone has been keeping in touch with him.

"I don't know if I'm even allowed to mention any of this, but I will say that The New Mutants film if you've heard anything about it the last couple years… two days ago, I heard from Josh Boone, the director," Sienkiewicz said.

This is when Sienkiewicz confirmed that Boone has shown him the new trailer and it looks pretty awesome.

"He sent me a new trailer. They've been working on it, and it is phenomenal. I got chills. It looks like, because of the whole Disney-Fox merger, takeover, whatever … it's got the blessings of Marvel. And it feels more Marvel in terms of what they're doing, but also the horror elements of the film are in place. It's really, absolutely stellar, just what I've seen," he said

So when are we going to see the new trailer for The New Mutants? For now, Sienkiewicz isn't sure yet.

"I think it's coming out — they haven't mentioned the exact release date, but I'm very excited about it," he concluded.

This is great news for fans who have been waiting patiently for the release of the movie. Hopefully, we'll get an update by early next year.

The New Mutants is still scheduled for release on April 3, 2020.
