The production on The Matrix 4 is currently on hold due to the coronavirus outbreak but it looks like Chad Stahelski has already worked on an epic action sequence before the mandatory shutdowns. The John Wick co-director has shared some awesome details on a scene that was planned by Lana Wachowski.
Stahelski recently spoke to The Hollywood Reporter where he praised Wachowski on how she comes up with plans for certain scenes.
"She comes with this idea. She comes with this set piece. She comes with, ‘This is the character. This is what's happening. This is the conflict. This is where I need him to be emotionally or psychologically or whatever plot-wise at the end of this sequence. What do you got in your bag of tricks to make it absolutely crazy?'" Stahelski said.
It's no surprise that Wachowski is very hands-on when it comes to the action sequences. However, she is also open to suggestions from Stahelski and his crew.
"She's one of those great people that she'll tell us something and we'll say, ‘Okay, we've got this.' Then she's like, ‘Oh my God, that's awesome. I didn't think of that, but what if we took this and made it this?'" Stahelski shared.
Although we have yet to see any footage from The Matrix 4, it's obvious that the action scenes are going to be mind-blowing if Wachowski is working with Stahelski for the sequel. Needless to say, we can't wait for the film to resume filming so we can get more updates on the movie.
The Matrix 4 will bring back Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss and is scheduled for release on April 21, 2021.
