The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Star Sebastian Stan Wants Mark Hamill's Blessing to Play Luke Skywalker

Everybody knows that Sebastian Stan would be the perfect candidate to play young Luke Skywalker. After all, the Falcon and The Winter Soldier star looks exactly like a young Mark Hamill. But is Stan actually interested in the role? Stan just admitted that he wants the Star Wars legend's blessing before he could take on the role.

Fans have been pointing out the resemblance between Stan and Hamill for ages and it has even been suggested that the Marvel Cinematic Universe star should play young Luke in The Mandalorian Season 3. However, Stan isn't convinced and he told Good Morning America that the only way he would consider it is if Hamill himself says so.

"If Mark Hamill calls me personally to tell me that he feels inclined to share this role with me then I'll believe it," Stan said.

That's a cool answer that somehow confirms Stan is interested in the role but is holding back and waiting for Hamill to give him his blessing. After all, Hamill has played Luke in the original Star Wars trilogy as well as the sequel films. Surely, the only man who can assure Stan that he's perfect for the job is the real Luke Skywalker himself.

Interestingly, Hamill has already joked about his resemblance to Stan. The Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker actor had previously tweeted that he refuses to say "I am your father" to Stan although it is true (he's joking, of course).

For now, it is still unclear whether Luke will play a larger role in The Mandalorian Season 3. In the meantime, you can catch Stan in action in the second episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, which airs on Disney+ on March 26.
