There is little doubt that Marvel fans believe John Walker doesn't deserve to have Captain America's shield. So it's no surprise that people were delighted when Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes decided it was time to take it back from the new Cap. Now, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier fans have interesting reactions to Walker getting a new shield.

In The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Episode 5, Sam and Bucky finally confronted Walker and tried to take the shield from the new Captain America. However, Walker refused and the other two had to break his arm just to take it away from him.

To add insult to injury, Walker later received a dishonorable discharge for the murder of a Flag-Smasher and he was stripped of the role of Captain America. Although it looked like Walker would finally be done, he meets Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, who tells him she supported his actions, and losing the shield was not a big deal.

This leads to a surprising mid-credits scene where Walker is shown making his own shield. He uses his war medals and some scrap metal to fashion a new Captain America shield.

Naturally, Marvel fans couldn't stop talking about Walker's new shield.

One fan also pointed out that Sam did the right thing as soon as he had the shield and it once again proves that he is the real Captain America.

We're certainly looking forward to what Walker will do with the new shield and just how it holds up against the real one. Needless to say, the series finale of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will be something to watch out for.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Episode 5 is now streaming on Disney+.
