The Batman: Jason Alexander Volunteers To Play Penguin In Robert Pattinson Film

With Jonah Hill no longer in talks to play the Penguin in The Batman, the villainous role could go to anybody at this time, right? But what if George Costanza actually plays Oswald Cobblepot opposite Robert Pattinson?

Seinfeld actor Jason Alexander recently tweeted about the news about Hill stepping away from negotiations for the highly anticipated film. He then suggested a more appropriate actor for the role. Take a look at his tweet below.

"Ok, Jonah Hill passed. Clearly the next move for Penguin has to be someone familiar with marine biology. Ahem," Alexander wrote.

It's a hilarious reference to the Seinfeld episode The Marine Biologist where George poses as a scientist to impress a former college classmate. Although it would be strange to introduce an Oswald with a degree in marine biology, it would be interesting to see Alexander take on the character in the Matt Reeves movie. On the other hand, has anyone called Josh Gad yet?

It was previously reported that Hill was already in negotiations to join the cast of The Batman. However, the Superbad star was supposed to take on the role of the Riddler and not Penguin. Since then, There Will Be Blood actor Paul Dano has been confirmed to play the DC comic book villain.

The Batman will also star Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald actress Zoe Kravitz, who has been cast as Catwoman. In addition to that, Westworld star Jeffrey Wright has been confirmed to play Commissioner Ben Gordon in the film. It is currently scheduled for release on June 25, 2021.
