The Bad Batch Trailer Confirms The Mandalorian's Fennec Shand in Star Wars Spin-Off

There is little doubt that people are loving the trailer for The Bad Batch that has been dropped during Disney Investor Day. After all, it offered a thrilling look at what to expect in the upcoming Star Wars: The Clone Wars spin-off series. What nobody expected was the appearance of a young Fennec Shand who could be playing a huge role in the highly anticipated animated show.

The first look at the Star Wars series puts the highlight on Clone Force 99, or as Commander Cody confirms earlier in the teaser, "The Bad Batch." It also reveals that the show will take place after the events in the Clone Wars Season 7 episode Unfinished Business since Echo is now part of the line-up. Needless to say, there's plenty of action for Echo, Crosshair, Wrecker, Tech, and Hunter as they make their way around a galaxy that is dealing with the rise of the Empire.

Interestingly, they're not the only ones who are featured in the teaser. There are several moments showing a character wearing a helmet that has already appeared in The Mandalorian.

That looks a lot like Fennec although many fans are quick to point out that the character may be too young to be the assassin. Nevertheless, fans are already celebrating the idea that Fennec will show up in The Bad Batch.

For now, it is unclear whether the character will be voiced by Ming-Na Wen but we're hoping that Disney and Lucasfilm don't make the mistake of getting another actor to do it.
