We already know that the Star Wars: The Clone Wars spin-off series is happening but what can we expect in The Bad Batch? The sizzle reel for the highly anticipated animated show has just been unleashed and it looks like an action-packed thrill ride.
The teaser for The Bad Batch was dropped during Disney Investor Day and it opens with Commander Cody announcing that "they call themselves The Bad Batch." That's Clone Force 99 for you and this time, they've got Echo in tow.
We already know that The Bad Batch will follow the elite squad of Clone Troopers right after the Clone War. Not surprisingly, Emperor Palpatine makes an appearance, announcing that "the Republic will be reorganized into the First Galactic Empire." This means we'll finally get to see the immediate effects of Order 66 throughout the galaxy. On a side note, that random Sarlacc is the one thing I am really looking forward to.
It's great to see that The Bad Batch will deliver exactly what everyone has been hoping for since Clone Force 99 appeared in the final season of The Clone Wars. In addition to that, it appears that Echo is adjusting quite well to his new teammates Crosshair, Wrecker, Tech, and Hunter. Needless to say, we can't wait to see them all in action.
The Bad Batch is currently in production and has not yet been given an official release date. Nevertheless, the new animated series is expected to premiere on Disney+ soon. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
