Sung Kang Possibly Revealed His Mysterious Role in Obi-Wan Kenobi Series

People are undoubtedly curious about the new characters who will be introduced in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. After all, the upcoming Disney+ show boasts of an impressive cast that includes Fast and Furious 9 star Sung Kang.

But is it possible that the F9 actor has somehow confirmed his mysterious role in the series? A new clue strongly suggests that Kang is playing a character who has already appeared in Star Wars Rebels.

Cinelinx reports that a source has confirmed Kang will be playing an Inquisitor in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. The Inquisitorius was a Force-sensitive agent connected to the Dark Side who worked for the Galactic Empire in Star Wars Rebels.

According to the source, Kang is expected to portray the Fifth Brother, who teamed up with the Seventh Sister to go up against Ezra Bridger and Kanan Jarrus in the animated series.

But did Kang himself confirm the casting? In a recent interview, Kang shared what it was like working on the Star Wars show and he mentioned seeing Darth Vader and the Jedi on the set. With that in mind, fans believe that his character will be working for the Galactic Empire.

For now, Kang's role has not yet been officially announced. With that in mind, it's probably best to take this information with a grain of salt.

The Obi-Wan Kenobi is currently in production but has not yet been given an official release date. Nevertheless, the Star Wars series is expected to premiere on Disney+ in 2022.
