Star Wars Voice Actor Teases Maul's Role in The Clone Wars Season 7 Finale

If you tuned in to the latest episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7, chances are you're still blown away by Darth Maul's epic hallway fight against the Clone Troopers which was, honestly, more of a massacre. However, it looks like the animated series actually saved the best for last. Sam Witwer has just revealed that Maul is set for an even bigger action sequence in the final episode.

Witwer recently took part in a Twitch stream while playing Star Wars: Battlefront II where he spoke about how Maul's hallway scene was being compared to that of Darth Vader's in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (via Comicbook.com). Interestingly, the Maul voice actor pointed out that fans can expect more of his character in the upcoming series finale.

"Uh guys, Maul's hallway scene is not done yet so let's wait before we compare the two, shall we?" Witwer said.

In Shattered, Ahsoka Tano had to face Captain Rex and the rest of the Clone Troopers after Darth Sidious executed Order 66. In desperation, Ahsoka released Maul and forced him to distract the other Clones as she tried to save Rex. Not surprisingly, Maul didn't have a hard time taking on the Clones although he didn't have a weapon on him.

The scene concluded with Maul being trapped in the hallway as the Clones escaped. It's safe to say that hallway will be revisited again in the upcoming series finale.

The final episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 is titled Victory and Death. The series finale will air on Disney+ on Star Wars Day, May 4.
