Star Wars: Will The Mandalorian Season 3 Bring Back Chewbacca?

It looks like The Mandalorian Season 3 is going to bring in some characters that we have already adored in the Star Wars Universe. A new report claims that the Disney+ series will feature a Wookiee and there's a possibility that it could be Chewbacca.

Bespin Bulletin reports that a Wookiee is set to appear in the third season of The Mandalorian. Interestingly, it was revealed that the rumors have been going around since last year but a new source reportedly confirmed that a Wookiee will be part of the series.

"Last year I heard rumors that a Wookiee or Wookiees may appear in The Mandalorian. I've heard of a Wookiee showing up again as of late from a secondary source and even saw proof that a Wookiee might be appearing in The Mandalorian Season 3 from a new source," the report reads.

But wait, are we going to see Chewbacca in The Mandalorian Season 3? The report points out that the identity of the Wookiee has not yet been revealed. However, it was noted that "it was worth mentioning as we all love a fuzzball." In addition to that, Joonas Suotamo is keeping quiet about his involvement.

We would love to see Chewie or any Wookiee in The Mandalorian Season 3. However, it's important to point out that this has not yet been confirmed by Disney or Lucasfilm. With that in mind, it's best to take this with a grain of salt.

The Mandalorian Season 3 has not yet started production but is expected to begin filming later this year. The show is set to return on Disney+ by 2022.
