Star Wars: The Bad Batch: Who is Omega and What is Her Connection to Clone Force 99?

We already know that Star Wars: The Bad Batch will be all about the members of Clone Force 99 dealing with the aftermath of the fall of the Republic. However, it looks like Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, Crosshair, and Echo will also have their hands full with an interesting new character. So who is Omega and what is her connection to the Clone Troopers?

Fans got to meet Omega in the official trailer for The Bad Batch where she impressed Clone Force 99 with her knowledge about them. Interestingly, the mysterious child from Kamino is also shown joining the team on their mission but how did this happen in the first place?

The Bad Batch head writer Jennifer Corbett and supervising director Brad Rau spoke to Cnet about Omega and they confirmed that Omega's introduction is something that will be new for Clone Force 99.

"We wanted to challenge these elite soldiers because they're so good at what they do. Interacting with this child seemed like a natural way to throw them for a loop because they're not equipped to deal with being guardians," Corbett said. She then continued that fans will need to watch the whole show to learn about Omega.

"Who she is and why she's important is definitely something we explore throughout the series," Corbett stated. She then concluded by teasing that we'll be seeing more of Omega in the future.

"We are going somewhere with this little family unit," Corbett said.
