Star Wars Somehow Confirms Luke Skywalker Is Perpetually Clueless And Undeniably Straight

The evolution of Luke Skywalker has certainly gone from curious young man to grumpy old man in the span of five movies. Well, Star Wars: The Force Awakens shouldn't really count since he was only in it for, like, 10 seconds. But is Luke truly the "straight man" of the original trilogy, as Mark Hamill claims? A new video might finally confirm that yes, Luke was always the clueless and undeniably straight one in the bunch.

The latest episode of Star Wars By The Numbers on the YouTube channel Star Wars Kids enumerates "Every Question Luke Asks In Star Wars." Why? Well, why not? He's the one character who always has to ask what's going on around him.

We can't really compare Luke's grand total with the rest of the other characters but it's pretty obvious that he's the one with the most questions. For instance, he asked a total of 93 questions in A New Hope alone. To be fair, Luke had his reasons for all those questions but still, that's a lot.

Luckily, Luke mellows down in The Empire Strikes Back (29 questions) and is at his coolest in Return of the Jedi (just 10 questions!). By the time he actually has lines in the sequel trilogy's The Last Jedi, at least 21 of those lines would have been accepted on Jeopardy!

So what's the grand total? Overall, Luke Skywalker is the King of Questions with a total of 193 questions asked in four movies (again, TFA doesn't count). This is probably the same number of questions a straight man would ask when wondering why his girlfriend is so mad.

Watch out for more questions from Luke in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker this December.
