Star Wars: James Mangold Finally Addresses The Mandalorian Season 2 Rumors

In case you missed it, there have been reports that the second season of The Mandalorian is recruiting some major names to direct the new episodes. One of those directors happens to be Logan's James Mangold and he has just addressed the rumors about the Star Wars series.

It was previously reported that The Mandalorian Season 2 will be bringing in new directors to helm new episodes. The mentioned filmmakers included Mangold, Robert Rodriguez and Season 1 director Bryce Dallas Howard. Not surprisingly, Ron Howard was thrilled with the news that his daughter will be back for the second season and tweeted out an article with the mentioned updates. Interestingly, Mangold replied to Ron's post with some facts.

"Hey Ron. I'm so pleased if it's true about Bryce directing another part of Mandalorian, but I can tell you its not true about me. Not doing it, never discussed it. And I suggest fans should look at who's 'reporting' this & make a note that these sites present conjecture as fact," Mangold wrote.

This is disappointing news for people who were hoping that Mangold will be working on a Star Wars project. Nevertheless, we're waiting for an official announcement from Disney about the final list of directors for the second season of The Mandalorian.

The Mandalorian Season 2 is currently in production and is set to premiere on Disney+ in October.
