The world might still be in quarantine due to the Coronavirus outbreak but it looks like Harrison Ford isn't letting that stop him from enjoying a quick spin in the skies. The Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker actor recently made headlines after he was involved in a runway incident at an airport in Los Angeles. Not surprisingly, Star Wars fans couldn't help but comment on the news.
According to Reuters, Ford was piloting a small plane that wrongly crossed a runway where another aircraft was landing. Although there was no danger of a crash in the incident, the United States’ Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is currently investigating the incident.
Ford's representatives were quick to issue a statement about the situation. "Mr. Ford crossed the airport's only runway in his aircraft after he misheard a radio instruction from ATC. He immediately acknowledged the mistake and apologized to ATC for the error. The purpose of the flight was to maintain currency and proficiency in the aircraft. No one was injured and there was never any danger of a collision," the statement read.
We're happy to report that Ford is safe and no one was injured. Nevertheless, that didn't stop Star Wars fans from making Han Solo jokes.
"Harrison Ford is under investigation..." and I almost shit my pants "...by FAA for making an error during a flight" Oh thank God is just his inner Han Solo manifesting

The fact that Harrison Ford is actually an enthusiastic yet misadventure-prone pilot IRL makes me think that one of the reasons he dislikes the role of Han Solo so much is that it reminds him too much of himself

I jusy saw Harrison Ford trending. I'll always remember him for being Han Solo, Rick Deckard and Indiana Jones.

You can reminisce about Ford actually being a great pilot by watching all nine films of the Star Wars Skywalker Saga, which will be available for streaming on Disney+ on May 4.
