Star Wars: Episode IX Leak Teases Rey And Kylo Ren's Final Lightsaber Duel

There is little doubt that Star Wars: Episode IX will feature yet another major lightsaber duel. But is it possible that the sequel's ending has been leaked?

People have been expecting Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) to face off one more time in Episode IX. After all, things didn't end well for the two characters after they fought the Elite Praetorian Guards in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Rey had turned down Ben Solo's invitation to join her, choosing to go back to the Resistance and save everyone in Crait. Interestingly, their next meeting could end in an epic lightsaber duel in the last part of the film (via Mike Zeroh).

According to the YouTuber, his sources have revealed that the final scenes in Episode IX are currently being filmed in one of the large hangar bays in Cardington Sheds. He revealed that an "invasion sequence" is being shot involving numerous extras dressed as Resistance fighters and "new First Order troopers in black armor." However, Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) and Finn (John Boyega) are not included in the scene. The only main characters expected in the scene are Rey and Kylo.

Zeroh also pointed out that the scene "could absolutely be the beginning of the final lightsaber duel" between Rey and Kylo. Interestingly, it was previously reported that a dark palace set was being built in the same hangars. Could this mean that the two Force users will be fighting in Darth Vader's castle in Mustafar? That would be an interesting turn of events. However, it is important to point out that the details have yet to be confirmed. We'll have to take all the information with a grain of salt.

The Star Wars: Episode IX title has not yet been announced. Nevertheless, the film is scheduled for release on December 20, 2019.
