General Armitage Hux might not the most beloved Star Wars character out there but he certainly was intriguing. Interestingly, Domhnall Gleeson has just revealed that there's still a lot we didn't know about Hux and he's hoping fans still want to learn more about his character.

Hux was first introduced in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and is later revealed to have a certain dislike for Kylo Ren. Unfortunately for Hux, Ren eventually becomes the new Supreme Leader which meant he had to work for the man he loathes. Nevertheless, Gleeson insists that there's more to his character than just wanting to rid himself of Ren.

"I found something new out about him on every movie because not only did he change, but his circumstances changed. He always surprised me," Gleeson told Collider. He then added that directors Rian Johnson and J.J. Abrams gave him a lot to work with in The Last Skywalker and The Rise of Skywalker.

"Rian had this mad version of him that I wasn’t expecting for the second episode, which I absolutely loved. And then, similarly with J.J., there was a whole other aspect to his character in the third one that was super interesting and I never would have seen it coming," Gleeson said.

Of course, Gleeson is talking about Hux turning against the First Order and acting as the spy for the Resistance. Sadly, we won't get to know more about Hux in the future but Gleeson did admit that he's open to returning to the Star Wars Universe.

For now, it is unclear what will happen in the new Star Wars films but we can look forward to seeing Gleeson in more projects. He is set to reprise his role as Thomas McGregor in Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway. Interestingly, the sequel also features the voice of Star Wars actress Daisy Ridley.

Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway is scheduled to premiere in the US on June 18, 2021.
