Star Wars: Colin Trevorrow's Episode IX Draft is Being Made into a Comic Book

The Star Wars Skywalker Saga may be over but fans continue to wonder what could have been if Colin Trevorrow directed Episode IX. So it's no surprise that someone has decided to turn the Duel of the Fates draft into a comic book series depicting how the saga should have ended.

Andrew Winegarner has revealed that he had been working on the comics for the past year. The artist admitted that he was thrilled when Trevorrow's draft was leaked and was inspired to bring the story to life.

"Having read DOTF I can state that I enjoy it much more than TROS. My hope is that seeing the script visually in my FREE webcomic adaptation will help people know what could/should have been," Winegarner wrote on his website.

Duel of the Fates takes a completely different turn from what happened in The Rise of Skywalker and would have been a dramatic conclusion for the Skywalker Saga. In addition to that, it provided new depth to the main characters by sending them off to learn more about themselves.

It is important to point out that Winegarner's comic book is not going to be part of the Star Wars franchise. Nevertheless, it would be interesting to see Trevorrow's vision come to life in the adaptation.

The Duel of the Fates comic book series will consist of seven issues, six of which will be available for free on Winegarner's website. You can read them all here.
