It has been almost three years since Carrie Fisher passed away and yet fans refuse to forget about the beloved Star Wars actress. Interestingly, a new letter from the late star has just been revealed only a few days after the premiere of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
The letter was discovered by Fisher's brother Todd Fisher and has been shared with The Post (via Page Six). Amazingly, the letter was written by Fisher before her 2016 passing but was penned as an after-death note.
"I am dead. How are you? I'll see you soon … I would call and tell you what this is like, but there is no reception up here.' Then it says, ‘Cut. New scene, new setup, new heavenly location. I have finally got the part that I have been rehearsing for all my life. God gave me the part. This is the end of the road I have been touring on all my life," Fisher wrote.
Todd admitted that he found the letter in their late mother Debbie Reynolds' things. He claimed that he knew Fisher wrote it because he recognized her handwriting right away.
It's a sad letter from Fisher but still an emotional message that fans would treasure. Unfortunately, it only makes us miss our beloved Princess even more.
Fans can still see Fisher play Leia Organa one more time in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which is currently screening in theaters worldwide.
