One of the best things about the current storyline of Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 is that it's all about Ahsoka Tano. After all, we've been wanting to know what happened to Ahsoka after she decided that she didn't want to be a part of the Jedi Order in the fifth season. But is it possible that the former padawan is going a little too far with her actions in the final season? The latest episode of the animated series has just featured Ahsoka violating a major Jedi rule.
In Deal No Deal, Ahsoka once again joined her new friend Trace and her sister Rafa on a dangerous mission. This time, they take an assignment to deliver a load of spice from Kessel to the Pyke crime syndicate on Oba Diah. Not surprisingly, the three have a disagreement about dealing with the Pykes since Ahsoka is convinced that the gangsters will take their ship as well. Amidst the argument, their load gets dumped and the trio is stuck with nothing to bargain with.
This is when Ahsoka decides to use the Jedi mind trick on the Pykes. She convinces the gangsters to pay them in credit although they have nothing to offer. It might also be the first time that the trick has been used in the Star Wars Universe to steal from a helpless (okay, not-so-helpless) victim.
Not surprisingly, the scene already has fans arguing about what counts as a truly bad deed. Some have pointed out that Ahsoka used the Jedi mind trick to save herself and her companions. On the other hand, they also blatantly stole from the Pykes. Meanwhile, some believe that the act doesn't count as a violation since she is no longer a Jedi.
Whether it was for good or bad, Ahsoka and her friends are still stuck in a bad place. The episode concluded with the trio getting captured so we'll have to wait until next week to find out what will happen to them.
