Star Trek: Picard Actor Patrick Stewart Gets COVID-19 Vaccine Ahead of Season 2 Production Start

Star Trek: Picard Season 2 will begin production soon and Patrick Stewart is taking all the necessary safety measures for his health. The veteran actor has just confirmed he got the COVID-19 vaccine to avoid getting sick on the set of his show.

Stewart has just shared a new video showing how he received the vaccine. In his caption, he made sure to thank all health care workers and scientists who made sure he would be able to stay healthy while working on Picard Season 2.

"How do we say thank you to the health workers and scientists for their sacrifice and service?" Stewart wrote. "Receive the vaccine as soon as one can to lessen their load and keep wearing a mask to protect fellow citizens. In my 80th year, I am grateful and hopeful for better days ahead."

It's great to see that Stewart understands the importance of staying safe while working on his show. After all, he is more at risk of getting sick due to his age. We're hoping he as well as the cast and crew will manage to work on Season 2 without a hitch.

But what can fans expect in Star Trek: Picard Season 2? Stewart had previously revealed that the new season will find the former Enterprise captain realizing new and unexpected things about his new synthetic body.

In the first season finale, Picard succumbed to the brain disease he had been dealing with but was ultimately saved from death by his friends who transferred his consciousness to a synthetic "golem" body. Needless to say, it's a major change for the captain and will be part of the storyline in Season 2.

Star Trek: Picard Season 2 has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
