Spider-Man Star Tom Holland Reunites With Robert Downey Jr. Amidst Sony/Disney Divorce

It seems like the whole world has been greatly disappointed when Sony decided to take Spider-Man back from Disney and Marvel Studios. Luckily, Tom Holland has shared some awesome photos of his reunion with Robert Downey Jr. to make you smile or burst out in tears.

Holland posted the pictures on his official Instagram account with a heartwarming caption: "We did it Mr Stark!" Make sure to swipe through to see all of the images.

Not surprisingly, people are loving the photos of the two actors together. Tony Stark was the first Marvel Cinematic Universe character to work with Peter Parker in Captain America: Civil War. Since then, it was obvious that the bond between Tony and Peter was truly strong even until the events in Avengers: Infinity War.

Interestingly, both actors are somehow no longer a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Downey's character Tony Stark died in Avengers: Endgame while Peter Parker will no longer return to the MCU following the split between Sony and Disney.

But could the images mean that Marvel is already planning something big for Downey and Holland? There have been speculations that Holland might not reprise his role as Spider-Man in a Sony project. In addition to that, fans have been hoping that Marvel will keep using Peter's other alter ego Night Monkey.

Holland is still expected to return in a third Spider-Man film although it is now unclear if Sony will pursue a follow-up to Spider-Man: Far From Home. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
