Spider-Man 3 Merch Confirms Suit's New Doctor Strange-Style Web Powers

We usually get our first glimpse at new Marvel Cinematic Universe costumes from tie-in merchandise that are teased ahead of their release. Not surprisingly, that's how we're learning about Peter Parker's new suit in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Amazingly, it looks like Spidey will be getting some help from Doctor Strange with mystic web powers.

It's no secret that Doctor Strange will play a major role in Spider-Man 3. It was already confirmed that Benedict Cumberbatch's Sorceror Supreme will serve as Peter's new mentor after the death of Tony Stark. Interestingly, it appears that Doctor Strange will be giving Peter's new black-and-gold suit a magical upgrade.

Hot Toys has just unveiled a new Spider-Man figure for No Way Home. In addition to offering a better look at the black-and-gold suit, the description confirms accessories like a gauntlet, a dynamic figure stand, and "mystic spider-web effects." Check it out below.

We're loving this upgrade as it seems to confirm that Doctor Strange is taking his mentor role very seriously. Right now, we don't know how it will work but there is little doubt that it's going to look awesome.

Spider-Man 3 will find Peter at a difficult time having to deal with the death of his first mentor and worrying about his identity being revealed. In Spider-Man: Far From Home, Mysterio managed to unmask the web slinger and Peter is probably trying to avoid villains who are now out to get him. Let's just hope Doctor Strange will be able to help him.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is scheduled for release on December 17, 2021.
