Snake Eyes Movie Drops First Official Poster of Henry Golding in Costume

We're just a few months away from the premiere of Snake Eyes but we have yet to see Henry Golding as the beloved G.I. Joe character. Luckily, the first official poster for the movie has just been revealed and it finally shows Golding in costume.

The first official stills from Snake Eyes were revealed earlier this week but now, Golding himself has shared the poster for his character on his official Twitter account. Check it out below.

"There goes the neighborhood... Your first official poster for @GIJoeMovie Snake Eyes. Can't wait to share the trailer on Sunday at the @MTV Movie and TV awards, tune in at 9pm!" Golding wrote before adding the hashtag #SnakeEyes.

This is great news considering that fans have been waiting for the trailer for a very long time. After all, Snake Eyes was supposed to premiere in March last year but needed to be pushed back due to COVID-19. Since then, there haven't been a lot of updates on the film. Luckily, things are now moving forward for the Paramount flick.

Golding had previously told Entertainment Weekly why he was drawn to the project in the first place.

"I wanted to see something different, and I wanted it to look different, to feel different," Golding said. "To be able to launch a franchise like that, it was just too good to be true — and especially with a character like Snake Eyes about whom a lot of people don't know too much."

"They know him as this insane operator that completes missions and is an absolute weapon, but who's the guy behind the mask and what's his story?" he concluded.

Snake Eyes is directed by Robert Schwentke and also stars Andrew Koji, Haruka Abe, Samara Weaving, Úrsula Corberó, Peter Mensah, and Iko Uwais. The film is scheduled for release on July 23, 2021.
