Shazam 2 Director Shares Hilarious Costume Upgrade for Fury of the Gods

It will still be a long wait for Shazam: Fury of the Gods but it looks like David F. Sandberg already has some interesting ideas for the highly anticipated sequel. The director has just shared a possible costume for the DC Extended Universe superhero in Shazam 2.

Sandberg took to his official Twitter account to post a recent redesign of Zachary Levi's costume for the first Shazam movie. Check it out below.

At this point, we're not really surprised that Sandberg is having a lot of fun with the sequel. After all, he's known for his hilarious tweets about the DCEU movie. On second thought, we would prefer that Shazam stays modest in Fury of the Gods and hides away all that skin.

It has already been confirmed that Shazam 2 will be pushed back to a June 2, 2023 release although Sandberg stated that production will not be affected and that the cast and crew will be working on the sequel by early next year. It is unclear if they will also be filming for a third Shazam movie but fans are hoping that if Shazam 3 is happening, it would be shot back-to-back with the second film.

Shazam: Fury of the Gods will bring back Levi as well as the young cast including Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Faithe Herman, Grace Fulton, Ian Chen, and Jovan Armand. The Shazam Family cast members Adam Brody, Meagan Good, Michelle Borth, Ross Butler, and D.J. Cotrona are expected to return as well.
