There is little doubt that people are excited about Black Widow for several reasons. However, it looks like Scarlett Johansson has just confirmed a major spoiler about the highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe flick.

Johansson was interviewed for Marvel's Black Widow: The Official Movie Special Book where she confirmed what fans have been hoping for since the movie was announced.
"We all agreed that we had to find out what happened in Budapest," Johansson said. "That started out as this throwaway line which Joss Whedon threw into Marvel's The Avengers as a funny moment between Hawkeye and Black Widow. That's Clint and Natasha talking about their history, and you get a fun little Easter egg for fans to theorize about."
Johansson continued by stating that they are aware of fans' interest in whatever it is that happened in Budapest and would be disappointed if it never gets revealed.
"We thought that if we don't go back to Budapest and find out what really happened there, people will feel unsatisfied. I wondered what did happen there?" she said. However, she also pointed out that the movie isn't going to revolve around this particular incident.
"Black Widow is not about what happened in Budapest, but it's a huge jumping-off point for us to understand the heaviness of Natasha's burden," Johansson concluded.
Now, what could this possibly mean for Black Widow? If we are going to see what happened in Budapest, it would make sense for Jeremy Renner to reprise his role as Hawkeye in the movie. However, it has not yet been revealed whether Renner is part of the film. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
