Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness Drops New Teaser Featuring Leon and Claire

The wait for the Resident Evil anime is almost over. Netflix has just unleashed a new trailer for Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness and it features an interesting interaction between the two main characters Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield.

The Infinite Darknesstrailer opens with Leon on a helicopter where the pilot tells him that they have never gotten clearance to land so quickly before and comments on how his passenger must be special. There's a good reason why the pilot is so impressed. He's about to set down at the White House.

Soon, Leon is inside the building and someone immediately recognizes him. It's Claire and she doesn't waste time showing him something that might interest him. It's a drawing by a little boy and Claire claims that no one is going on the record with what the illustration is about.

It's a terrifying drawing and Claire points out that it reminds her of Raccoon City. Leon decides not to discuss anything with her but leaves a warning: "Don't do anything stupid." This is when she points out that the suit he is wearing doesn't suit him.

It doesn't take long before things go terribly wrong. The power goes out in the White House and everyone rushes to take the President to the bunker. Someone orders the guards that "anything even remotely hostile gets a headshot" which is a good idea since it looks like they are going up against zombies.

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness features the voices of Nick Apostolides and Stephanie Panisello, who had previously appeared as Leon and Claire in Resident Evil 2. The new anime will premiere on Netflix in July 2021.
