Ninja Signs Exclusive Multi-Year Deal to Return to Twitch

Ninja is back on Twitch! Streamer Tyler Blevins has just announced that he has signed an exclusive, multi-year deal with the platform just a year after he left Twitch.

Blevins confirmed the news in a statement (via IGN).

"I am excited to get back to streaming full-time and connecting with my loyal fanbase," Blevins said. "I really took my time to decide which platform was best and Twitch has been very supportive throughout this process and understanding my overall career goals. In this next chapter, I'm going to make it a point to elevate and bring more eyes to underrepresented creators."

Twitch Senior Vice President of Content Michael Aragon also expressed his excitement over the deal.

"We are thrilled Ninja is returning to Twitch," Aragon said. "Tyler is an iconic force in the gaming community, and it's been amazing to see the impact he's made on the industry and broader culture. Gaming — and the people who love it — are being recognized by a broad mainstream audience now in part because of Tyler, and we know he's just getting started."

Ninja was one of the biggest names on Twitch until his departure in August 2019 when he signed a deal with Mixer. However, the streamer found himself without a platform when the Microsoft-owned streaming platform was shut down earlier this year. Luckily, it didn't take long for Twitch to reach out to Blevins with an exclusive deal.

For now, it is unclear how long Ninja's new contract will last but fans are hoping that it will be valid for several years. His first post-deal streams today at 12 p.m. PT.
