It's no secret that the Uncharted movie is one of the most highly anticipated films of the year. Although we have yet to see the first trailer for the movie adaptation of the Naughty Dog game series, we now have some new stills from the upcoming Tom Holland flick and it teases Nathan Drake's first awesome adventure.
The new images were shared by the official Uncharted Twitter account along with an exciting caption. Check it out below.
"A new year. A new adventure awaits," the caption reads along with the hashtag #UnchartedMovie. The post also tagged Holland and co-star Mark Wahlberg.
We're already loving the mysterious first images from Uncharted although it's still unclear what will happen in the film. So far, we do know that the movie will serve as a prequel and introduce Nathan into the world of treasure hunting. It could also reveal his first meeting with Victor 'Sully' Sullivan, who will be played by Wahlberg.
But when can we expect the first footage from Uncharted? There haven't been any new updates about the release of the film's trailer. However, there is a huge chance we'll finally get to see Holland and Wahlberg in action in the first quarter of the year.
The Uncharted movie is directed by Venom's Ruben Fleischer based on a screenplay penned by Art Marcum and Matt Holloway. It stars Antonio Banderas in a mystery role, Tati Gabrielle as Braddock, and Sophia Taylor Ali as Nathan's love interest Chloe Frazer. The film is currently scheduled for release on July 16.
