Neil Gaiman's The Sandman Series Adds Taron Egerton in Mystery Role


We already know that Netflix's series adaptation of The Sandman has been in production but we still don't know who is part of the cast. However, it looks like the show based on Neil Gaiman's works has just added Kingsman: The Secret Service star Taron Egerton.

Deadline reports that Egerton has joined the cast of The Sandman and as expected, his role is undisclosed. This shouldn't be a huge surprise considering that the rest of the cast is still a mystery until now.

We may not know who Egerton is playing in The Sandman but there are speculations that he will actually an important character in the series. It is believed that the Sing actor, who previously provided the voice of John Constantine in the audio adaptation, will reprise the role in the show.

But what can fans expect in The Sandman? Gaiman has repeatedly teased on the series, confirming that it will be a faithful adaptation of his works. The American Gods author did state that it will be updated to reflect the current times but everything else will still be the same.

The Sandman is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated shows in the coming years. After all, the adaptation of Gaiman's comics has been in production hell for several decades and was initially set to be a movie. However, it looks like the writer is happy with the decision to turn it into a series instead.
