Mortal Kombat TV Spots Reveal New Footage of Warriors in Action

It's only a short wait for the Mortal Kombat movie but we're getting some new footage from the film, thanks to a slew of TV spots. The teasers show Cole Young and the other warriors getting into the action as they prepare for the epic tournament.

The first teaser opens with Liu Kang (Ludi Lin) telling his companions to "listen carefully, watch, learn" as "Mortal Kombat has begun." We also get a glimpse at Lord Raiden (Tadanobu Asana) showing off his lightning powers. In addition to that, we get to hear Scorpion (Hiroyuki Sanada) say the trademark line, "Get over here."

Another TV spot highlights the fight between Scorpion and Sub-Zero (Joe Taslim) as well as a tease at an epic showdown between Mileena (Sisi Stringer) and Sonya Blade (Jessica McNamee). We also get to hear the warriors introduce themselves in another teaser, which means we finally get to hear Cole Young (Lewis Tan) speak.

The new TV spots are a welcome glimpse at what to look forward to in the Mortal Kombat movie. Although we have yet to see any fatalities, there is little doubt that the film will stay true to the video game franchise it is adapting. Personally, we're looking forward to the fight between Cole and Goro that has been teased in the red-band trailer.
