The cast of John Wick 4 is already impressive but the sequel has just added another amazing star. Mortal Kombat actor Hiroyuki Sanada is the latest addition to the fourth John Wick movie and that means he will be reunited with former co-star Keanu Reeves.
According to Deadline, Sanada is the newest addition to the cast of John Wick 4. Although Sanada's role has not yet been revealed, there are speculations that he will be playing one of Wick's new allies in the film.
Director Chad Stahelski has expressed his excitement about working with Sanada for the first time. “Having long admired Hiroyuki as both actor and action performer, I’m thrilled and honored to welcome him to the John Wick family,” Stahelski said.
Although this is the first time for Stahelski to work with Sanada, Reeves is set for a happy reunion with the actor. The two had previously worked on 2013's 47 Ronin. With that in mind, we're hoping that his new character will once again be an ally to Reeves' character.
Sanada is also known for his work in The Last Samurai, The Wolverine, and Avengers: Endgame. His most recent role was as the villainous Bly Tanaka in Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead.
John Wick 4 recently added It: Chapter 2 star Bill Skarsgård, Donnie Yen of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Shamier Anderson from Wynonna Earp, and newcomer Rina Sawayama. Laurence Fishbourne, Ian McShane, Asia Kate Dillon, and Lance Reddick are also expected to return in the film.
John Wick 4 will hit theaters on May 27, 2022.
