Michael Rooker Teases Yondu's Possible Return in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

It's no secret that fans are resisting the possibility of Yondu Udonta's return in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. After all, the character already had an awesome development in the first two films that led to his unfortunate death. However, Michael Rooker acknowledges the fact that Yondu could be brought back and even offered possible ways in which his character could be resurrected.

Rooker recently spoke to Comicbook.com while promoting his new movie Love and Monsters where he shared how he enjoyed playing Yondu.

"You know what? I loved the character," Rooker said. "I don't know how they could do it, but of course it's possible."

But would he be open to returning as Peter Quill's father figure? Rooker stated that "anything's possible in the Marvel universe."

"You know, there's time traveling and all that kind of stuff. So yeah, of course it's possible," he said before adding, "But will they be able to afford me? I don't know. At Marvel, they don't have a lot of money you know, it's really tough out there!"

Well, that could be a problem. Marvel Studios will need to find a way to afford Rooker before we can confirm the return of Yondu in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. In the meantime, we're just happy to know that the character had one of the most emotional story arcs in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has not yet been given a production start date or a release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
