Marvel's MODOK Series Teases First Look at Supervillain's Mundane Everyday Life

He might be a supervillain but that doesn't mean M.O.D.O.K is going after superheroes 24/7. The first look at Hulu's animated show Marvel's M.O.D.O.K reveals that the floating head is just like the rest of us, except he's a floating head.

The first images from the series were shared by Entertainment Weekly and it confirms that M.O.D.O.K also does things that normal people do. The villain is shown having a nice dinner with his wife Jodie and hanging out with his kids Lou and Melissa. Of course, he does have a day job of running AIM so we get a glimpse of that as well.

But why explore this side of MODOK in the first place? Executive producer Jordan Blum, who co-created the comedic series with lead star Patton Oswalt, admitted it was something they had always wondered about.

"We obviously love the character as this big villain who is always trying to take over the world and run his evil organization. His design by Jack Kirby is so absurd and monstrous that we thought, where does this guy go at night?" Blum said.

"Does he go home to a house and have all these mundane things he has to do? Does he have a family we never knew about? The more we discussed, the more it just kind of made us laugh and then we tried to figure out well, what would that family be? Who would marry M.O.D.O.K and how hard would it be to be his son or to be a daughter in M.O.D.O.K.'s image?" he concluded.

Marvel's M.O.D.O.K. will star Oswalt as the titular villain, Aimee Garcia as Jodie, Ben Schwartz as Lou and Melissa Fumero as Melissa. The series does not have a premiere date yet. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
