Marvel's Armor Wars: Don Cheadle Confirms MCU Show Production Start Date

Marvel's Armor Wars was only announced late last year but it looks like it's ready to start production. Don Cheadle has just revealed that he is already preparing to film the Marvel Cinematic Universe series soon.

Armor Wars was confirmed during Disney Investor Day as a completely new show that would bring back Cheadle as James "Rhodey" Rhodes. The upcoming series would deal with the fallout from Tony Stark's death in Avengers: Endgame.

After the announcement, most fans assumed that the show is still in early development and will not be released any time soon. However, Cheadle has just confirmed with Entertainment Tonight that he is set to begin working in just a few months.

"It's going to be dope. We're really going to have a chance to explore a lot of stuff about Rhodes," Cheadle said. He added that "there's a lot of real estate that we're going to dig into and that "we're going to start filming in a couple of months."

This is a huge surprise considering that we only learned about the show in December. This could mean that Armor Wars was already being developed long before it was officially announced. In addition to that, it could premiere a lot sooner than the other Iron Man series.

It was also confirmed during Disney Investor Day that an Ironheart show is in development and will star Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams. If Armor Wars is already set to begin filming, it could mean that Riri will be introduced in the Disney+ series before she leads in her own show.

Marvel's Armor Wars has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
