Marvel Confirms Fantastic Four Reboot, Spider-Man 3's Jon Watts to Direct

It's official: Disney and Marvel Studios have confirmed that the Fantastic Four reboot is already in development. In addition to that, the highly anticipated project will be directed by Spider-Man 3 director Jon Watts.

The announcement was made during Disney Investor Day along with an awesome logo for the Fantastic Four. The new logo was also shared by the official Marvel Studios Twitter account. You can check it out below.

"Jon Watts will direct the new feature film for Marvel's First Family, Fantastic Four!" the caption reads.

This is exciting news indeed considering that the Fantastic Four reboot was one of the first things that Disney teased after the Fox acquisition. However, the studio chose to play coy about the project's status for some time. Luckily, we can finally rest assured that Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, the Human Torch and The Thing could soon be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Watts is an excellen choice to take on the film considering that he has already directed two successful MCU flicks. Watts is best known for helming Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home. He is currently working on Spider-Man 3 so there is a possibility he will be able to begin production on the Fantastic Four reboot once the other sequel is done.

For now, there are no other names attached to the Fantastic Four reboot. However, there is a possibility that there will be casting news early next year. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
