Man of Steel Star Michael Shannon Shares Thoughts on Zack Snyder's Justice League

At this point, fans are already excited about Zack Snyder's Justice League being confirmed. Not surprisingly, the people who have worked with the director on the film are quite happy to know that the DC Extended Universe is getting a second chance. Man of Steel star Michael Shannon has just shared his thoughts on the highly anticipated Snyder Cut.

Shannon was recently a guest on the LightCast Pod podcast where he has asked whether General Zod will be back in the Justice League Snyder Cut. Although the actor chose to play coy about his character's return, he opted to reveal that it wasn't easy to get the director's cut approved in the first place.

"I'll tell you what I know, my friend Zack Snyder, he had a rough go of it. Between the struggles with his family and what he went through with Warner Bros.," Shannon said. He then admitted that he admired Snyder.

"Zack is a sweet, kind, gentle, hardworking conscientious human being. I hope that this release gives him some sort of satisfaction or vindication or whatever. Because he's such a good person, he deserves better than what he's been dealing with," Shannon said.

Shannon had previously played Zod in Man of Steel and had a small cameo in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Although it seems unlikely that his character will be back in the Snyder Cut, we're hoping there will be some references to Zod in the film.

Zack Snyder's Justice League has not yet been given an official release date. However, it is already expected to premiere on HBO Max by 2021.
