It has already been confirmed that Kro will appear in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe flick Eternals. But who will play the Deviant general? Legion star Dan Stevens has just confirmed that he had been cast as Kro in the highly anticipated Chloe Zhao movie.
Fans got their first glimpse at Kro in the final trailer of Eternals where the Deviant is shown capturing Angelina Jolie's Thena. Kro only has one line, "You can't protect any of them," but it had people wondering who is the voice behind the character. Not surprisingly, Stevens was one of the stars who was believed to be playing Kro.
So is it true? Collider asked Stevens about the possible Eternals casting and the Beauty and the Beast star didn't even bother to deny it.
"Kro comment," Stevens said with a laugh. "I mean, I said 'Kro comment' but I don't know if that was cryptic enough. Even if I could say anything, I wouldn't be able to and would have to try and kill you through Zoom. Is that cryptic enough? Is that more cryptic or less cryptic?"
That's actually pretty obvious right there although we're not sure if Stevens is simply providing Kro's voice or if he portrays the character in motion capture. Either way, the idea of Kro being voiced by the same guy who played David Haller (and the Beast in Beauty and the Beast!) is an exciting update.
Eternals will also star Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lia McHugh, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, Barry Keoghan, Don Lee, Harish Patel, Kit Harington, and Salma Hayek. The film is scheduled to premiere in theaters on November 5, 2021.
