It looks like Legends of Tomorrow is losing yet another major character. Dominic Purcell has just confirmed that he is leaving the CW show and he did it in a rather salty social media post.
Purcell took to his official Instagram account to announce his exit from Legends of Tomorrow. Check it out below.
"Deal isn't done. I have no interest. What ever cash they throw on the corporate level. Im walking away from @cw_legendsoftomorrow," Purcell wrote. However, he also made sure to point out that he enjoyed working on the series.
"It's been a total pleasure and a humbling experience bringing @dccomics iconic character #heatwave (aka) MICK RORY to life. I smashed this character— not an actor in the world could have done better," Purcell wrote.
Although it looks like Purcell is leaving the series on bad terms, he did have some nice things to say about the people he worked with for several seasons. "Big thanks to cast and crew and all the awesome relationships I've made over the years," he wrote.
We're not sure exactly why Purcell has decided to leave Legends of Tomorrow but it might have something to do with his contract. In the meantime, we'll be waiting for an official announcement from The CW.
Purcell isn't the first Legends of Tomorrow star to express their discontent about leaving the series. Brandon Routh, who announced his exit last year, has confirmed that he was forced to leave the show. In addition to that, he had been struggling with moving on since his departure.
Legends of Tomorrow Season 6 is set to premiere on The CW on May 2, 2021.
